No question about it, we are all humans. We come in an astounding array of sizes, shapes and colors. And because we are all unique and each have our own background story, we bring completely individual perspectives to every issue and event that defines our version of “reality”. What follows is that, after a while, we natually begin to think that our viewpoint is the “real” viewpoint, no matter how different that might be from the way others see a certain set of facts or experiences. Yes, there are certain things that are the same for everyone: the sun always rises in the East and sets in the West, water is wet, love is good…but how we piece together all the other facts that make up our lives is truly up to us. And how we communicate with everyone else around us, in an effort to make sense of our differing perspectives – that is also up to each of us. And that leads to the endlessly fascinating stories of our individual lives.
What is your perspective on your life right now? What is most important to you and how are you communicating those values and ideas to yourself and to the people you connect with – whether in person or online? This week, pay attention to what your viewpoint is as you move through your daily experiences and view the different issues of your life.
Until next time, may you find Inspiration and Beauty all around you, in your heart and in your interactions with life.
Blessings and Light,
Buff Elting
And this week, remember to take time to feel and express gratitude for everything and everyone in your life. Happy Thanksgiving! I invite you to join many others in the 30 Days of Thanks project and write, share and blog your daily list. Please share this with others, via Twitter, Facebook and other social media – and have a wonderful week.
